Homework and Study

The school provides facilities for a Study period each day between 4.10 pm and 7.00 pm. Teachers supervise this period and there is a fee per term.
The school believes that study is a discipline, which must be developed. It involves both written and oral work. It is essential that the students develop the habit of study. Students are advised annually by the career guidance teachers on how to approach homework and organize study time.
The school strongly discourages part-time work during term time. Part-time work militates against participation in the overall function of the school and reduces the effectiveness of the student’s classroom involvement. We seek the parent’s/guardian’s co-operation in this as in the long run it is detrimental to the student’s progress.
